Of Skyfall and Bond @ 50

When I went to see Quantum of Solace

in 2008
Anyone who has followed my blog for a while will know that I am a life-long Bond fan-atic. Yes, that is reason I've overused Goldfinger movie quotes in past posts and devoted a whole post to watching Quantum of Solace on the big screen in Accra.

Finally Bond is back in Skyfall. We have plans to see the movie again on the big screen. Of course this time, there will be Dutch subtitles running down the bottom. Hope these are not too distracting. Speaking of distraction, I was meant to be harping on about how 2012 marks the 50th anniversary since the release of the first Bond film Dr. No. In honour of 50 years of the Bond film franchise, I had planned a quiz of 50 questions celebrating my favorite Bond trivia. However, by the time I got to question 9, I had run out of steam. So I took the easy way out: 10 Bond Trivia questions only. These are ones I've known the answers to for ages but do you? Let's see how well you score. Answers are at the bottom.

Wow I did a lot better than expected considering I don't consider mysellf a hardcore Bond fan. I absolutely can't wait for 'Skyfall'. Who's your favourite Bond? I think mine is Roger Moore

Also, what do you think of the calls for a black Bond? I'm firmly against.

@Sankofa thanks for stopping by and taking the quiz! Unfortunately, there was an error in my algorithm so some of the answers were wrong!!! I've corrected that....

My favorite Bond was Roger Moore at first because he was the 1st Bond I ever knew. He also brought more cheek and humour to 007. With time, my favorite Bond has got to be Sean Connery and favorite Bond movie Thunderball. Love it.

Yes, I have heard about the Black Bond calls....Totally against it too. Mainly because it seems forced and don't think Bond should be black just to fulfill some politically correct desire for a black Bond. If someone had said rather "Won't Idris Elba or Colin Salmon may a great Bond" and kept race out of it, then I would have a different view on it.

Honey Rider & Jinx rocked that 2-piece! #10 was the only question I knew the answer to.

@Think-About-It, thanks for taking the quizz! Indeed, both Honey Rider and Jinx were memorable...loved the orange colour on Jinx
