The End of an Era: BBC cut Focus on Africa magazine

It was with a heavy heart that I realized that the ongoing BBC cuts had meant an end to BBC Focus on Africa magazine which I had been an avid reader of for the past 20 years. The only time my reading of this glossy quarterly magazine was during my 6 year stretch in the US and in recent times, my stints in Europe. Although the magazine could be criticized for the number of times armed African gunmen
